It is with regret to inform that yesterday Wedneday 24th July the Committee of Lydd Town FC reluctantly accepted the resignation of the First Team Manager - Scott Porter.

Scott had informed the club of his decision - that he and his back room staff are stepping down; meaning that we Lydd Town find ourselves looking for a new manager - with only a few days until the new season starts.

We would like to put on record, our thanks to Scott and the rest of his back room team and wish him the best of luck with his future.

As this has came as quite a shock to us , and with the season only days away, We will not be jumping into any rash appointments, and we will take stock of things before deciding the way the club will move forward.

We have a strong group of senior players and coaching staff who will hold the reins for the time being.

Should the need arise, We will advertise the position in due course.
