During November, Matt scored a great goal against Whitstable Town with the outside of his boot in the FA Vase Second Round which allowed Lydd Town back in the game despite seeing the cup run end in the dying minutes.

Astle also scored the opener against Rusthall away.

Astle has become a fan favourite at Lindsey Field, He is very confident on the ball and more importantly gives everything when playing for the Lydders. Under Southall, Matt has made the inverted fullback role look easy in the last couple of appearances!
